Weekly Review

Time for another weekly review.  It's now a fresh new year and a fresh new week.  I don't know what's in store for the new year but I do know that it can't be any worse than last year even if it's supposed to be the end of the world in December. On December 22, 2012 I'll have a damn good laugh.  But we have what 50 some odd weeks before that happens so yeah lets look at what happened last year.  Well not much did some more work on the Jetta ran around like an idiot trying to get Duke Nukem Forever to actually work on and wondered what was going to happen at work. 

So if you remember the previous week the Jetta suffered a bit of an oil leak and I spent some of last week cleaning up the engine bay and trying to find out if it was still leaking some where (it's not, I'm not losing any oil at all) and I used my Christmas money to buy some new plug wires and a locking gas cap.  You can take a look at how it turned out by looking at this picture or this one. 

When I wasn't working on the car I was running around trying to figure out how to get Duke Nukem Forever to work on the roommate's XBOX360.  I picked up a lens cleaner and while I got that to work it didn't help.  Even took it back to Wal-mart to see if it would work on a different machine and it did.  So instead I found Force Unleashed II for $18 and picked that up.  No surprise here but it worked fine and of course while playing it I was reminded why I hated the first one with the stupid jump jump and dash stupidity that you have to do some times.  It gets fucking annoying some times but the rest of it is fun so damn it I keep playing.  I just wish I could play Duke Nukem. 

The rest of the week I spent working including on New Year's Eve so yeah that sucked for me.  Kinda surprised that I didn't get any drunk walk ins although by the number of people that the police department arrested for DUIs maybe they all spent the night in lock up.  (Ada county arrested 29 people on NYE for DUIs)  Speaking of work they took away our flag so techincially we are no longer a Holiday Inn Express but the only thing they really took was holidex and central reservations so I still have a job at least.  They haven't closed the hotel yet but we still don't know what will be happening tomorrow or next week.
