Weekly Review

Time for another one of those weekly review postings.  Was there anything fun and exciting this last week?  Well actually yes.  A lot of stuff happened this week.  Good stuff, bad stuff annoying but worth mentioning stuff.    Watched my first 3D movie and didn't even get to watch the best part of the movie.  I've gotten most of the stuff I ordered and I ordered some other stuff.  Still waiting for that damn Idaho Tax Refund though.  Idaho really likes to hold onto it's money.  And there has been some Super GT news coming out lately as well.  And where there is Super GT news there is Race Queen news as well.

So a lot of the stuff that I ordered when I got the Federal Refund showed up this last week.  Love my new lil' diecast Porsche 997 GT3RS model.  The smoked turn signals and side markers came in, sadly I need to get a newer bumper to fit the turn signals. I don't mind that much as it'll be easier to get those and fix them up compared to the ones on the car that have a few rips in the bumper skin.

I got the flash remote triggers and umbrella/light stand set as well and tried them out for a little bit.  Looks like I'll have to shoot semi manual or full manual as the set up either doesn't like my camera or the flash or both on auto.  It'll flash but the camera doesn't think there is a flash there and shots with a different setting like it wasn't there.  Haven't shot anything with it yet though.  Will have to do that later this week with something cool.

Speaking of cool found out the dealership did in fact get in a Porsche 991 demo model but someone had purchased a weekend with the car at an auction so by the time I got there to look at it, it was gone and didn't come back until really late Saturday.  Sunday I stopped by to see if it was there and sure enough it was there.  It was dirty as all hell but that didn't stop me from taking pictures of it.  Just click on the link up there to head over to flickr to check it out.

Before that though on Saturday some friends and I went out to watch Star Wars Phantom Menace in 3D and of course right before the big space and land battles (you know the good part of the movie) the fire alarm went off and we had to evacuate the theater and they closed it down after that.  So while we did a reimbursement ticket for it I'm not really feeling like going and watching the whole thing again just to see the good part.

And finally I have ordered up some diecut stickers for the Automotive blog that will be here by February 24th so I'm looking forward to getting those and giving a few away and hopefully selling the others.  At least that's the idea.  And last but not least I almost forgot the Super GT news.  GSR & Studie with TeamUYKO released news about their upcoming season with an additional car and race team a new face to the Race Queen Team and a new Racing Miku.  And best of all an English site and news that they are going to be more friendly to overseas fans starting this year.
