Where did the time go. It just seemed like a little while ago that I was writing the last weekly review and here we are again. This time with a bit more interesting weekend of fun and adventures. The week it self was pretty uneventful to say the least basically work and sleep and Forza 4. Forza 4 because of the release of the Porsche pack. The weekend though was filled with real Porsche cars though. That's where things got exciting. And of course that was followed by a day of intense computer crunchy to get all the pictures from the weekend out so I could work all week if not more on the videos.
Ok so to start out the week my laptop decided that my HDD needed to be replaced. It really doesn't just yet but I'm living on borrowed time for sure with this HDD and need to order another one pronto. But I didn't really have a lot of time to use the laptop at work as I'm back to folding laundry again and a couple of those days were filled with large loads of laundry so didn't get any really good computer anime watching time in during the week. Other than that nothing much else going on at work.
At home I spent a good deal of my mornings playing on Forza with the new Porsche expansion pack and love it, although I wish they would have added some new models to the range otherwise it's all the same cars from Forza 3. I did figure out how to take pictures and upload them to Forzamotorsports, net so that I can download them and share them which I did. You can find pictures of my Porsche cars here -- Scottystyles42. I have a few more cars that I need to take pictures of as I/we now own 10 Porsches (lol roommate not thrilled I think with Porsche being the most owned and highest affinity of all the cars).
Although as much fun as it is to play with Porsche cars on Forza 4 they are no match for the real thing and on Saturday I went to the monthly Porsche Coffee and Cars drive event and this time I tagged along on the drive heading up to Lowman Idaho on what is known as the Lowman loop in a early '80s Porsche 911 Targa that has been completely modded out. It was a great drive (minus the slow van that wouldn't let us pass and the many many bikers on the road) all around. The lunch itself was a bit disappointing (.50 extra for onion rings and I got all of four of them could be worse the other guy got 3) though. But all in all a good day spent cramped in a small car in small bucket seats. You can see the pictures from the event here -- June's Porsche Coffee and Cars.
With that event done and the pictures edited and uploaded it was time for Autocross on Sunday at the Idaho Center. Which is a place I like to film at as it has grassy areas with trees that I can hide from the sun behind for most of the day. So the weather wasn't bad the event was good minus one crunch into a curb resulting in a mangled lower lip. All together though the event was good I brought plenty to drink in a cooler so that was handy as well. Also provided a nice seat when there was a rather long break in the action. The pictures are done and you can see them here -- AutoX June 3. But the videos will take some time once again.
I had Monday off but I spent all day editing the autocross pictures so didn't have any time to do anything else. Well actually I did spend some time looking online for Idlers Games stuff as they also had an event this weekend and there was plenty of RAUH-Welt Begriff cars out racing and the infamous Stella Artois was back out racing for the first time in a year or so after losing it's engine. Plenty of upgrades but I don't know how it finished in the series. Found some videos and pictures though so I'll be posting about that later in the week on the car blog along with more stuff about the local Porsche event as well. In the mean time enjoy some videos from this week.
I honestly stopped paying attention to the girls for a little bit watching this video.
Walk around video of Stella at the Idlers event
I really want to play Halo 4 after watching this.
Last but not least an anime pv for a summer release that I'm interested in seeing...
